Something I never thought I'd blog about...

...or think was adorable.

Nose blowing is something I feel should be done, at the very least, with your back turned, if possible. Preferably even away from other people and never, ever at a dining table. There's not much more disgusting to me than to be sitting in a restaurant and to innocently look around to have the bad luck to see someone blowing his nose while sitting at a table while dining. Blech.

And, good grief, please don't do it while you're having a face-to-face conversation with me.

I have issues with mucous. Yes, I'm a nurse, but still.

But, I digress.

I have a cold again and I have given it to Kevin. The boy has seen a lot of blowing of the nose over time. He has imitated it, sans tissue (just makes the noise-nothing comes out, thank goodness), for a little while now. Today when he woke up with the cold, I thought I'd see if he's do it for real. In an actual tissue. He did! It was so cute. My little boy, at 16 months, knows how to blow his nose.

I never thought that would make me feel proud....

Oh my gosh, John also recently learned this amazing feat. I feel so blessed!

I'm with you - hearing someone honk their nose in public, especially a restraunt, makes me livid. Even worse, though, are those people who continuously snort it back into their throat......repulsive!

Now I've completely grossed myself out.

I'm not a hockey fan, so I'm completely clueless about this....is your team playing the redwings or someone else? You mentioned the Calder cup; I *think* the redwings are playing the Penguins for a stanley cup. If my local team is playing yours, I'll root for yours to win - like I said, I'm not a hockey fan.

Our parent team is the Pittsburgh Penguins and, yes, they're playing for the Stanley Cup. My local team is the minor league Pens (where the big Pens get most of their players) and we are playing for the Calder Cup. It's actually pretty amazing that both the parent team and the baby team have gone to the finals.

Um...would you mind packing him up and shipping him down here for a short stay? I've tried to teach this kid of mine how to blow his nose, but maybe he needs influence from someone a little younger than me.

Too funny!
